TIPS:
- Be careful not to have any nicks on the wire.
- Cut off enough of the outer jacket so that YOU can work with it. (.5 to 2 inches)
- Untangle wires and rock back and forth to straighten the wires.
- COLOR ARRANGING:
Work from left to right
Blue pairs are always in the middle
Brown pair is always on the right
568B: Orange pair on left
568A: Green pair on left
Remaining pair, one wire on either side of blue pair
Organize wires stripe-solid-stripe-solid-stripe-solid-stripe-solid- Align wires close to each other (so that they will fit in the Rj-45 jack.
- Cut wire (straight or perpendicular)
- Hold RJ-45 jack so that opening is toward you and clip is down.
- Insert wire (all the way in).(
- Inspect wires
With RJ-45 opening toward you and clip down check colors
Wire end must be visible from tip-end.- Crimp RJ-45 (firmly).
- Check or do other end and check.
