The Naturalist (Excel simple strings)

Background:

Several naturalist in New York are conducting a experiment to track waterfowl populations in Northeastern Ontario. The naturalist trapped the animals at various locations throughout the area and determined their numbers. This census of the population occurred in three different years, 1992, 1993, and 2001. The naturalist then processed their data into a large survey.

Task:

With these facts, you have been asked to prepare a work sheet for the naturalist that includes a list off all the species populations and the dates in which they were taken. Using the provided link and chart within, chart the percentage of change in total population between each census date 1992-1993, 1993-2001 and 1992-2001, and provide a total population figure for each date. You'll also need to create 3 graphs. Each graph will plot the species of bird (x) to the persent change between years.

Tips:

Charting both these figures requires the use of equations. You can use the following equations to obtain percentages. Remember for each cell with a calculation to format it to output information as a percentage. You can do this by right clicking on the cell and selecting format, then change the category under the numbers tab.
