AAS in Computer Systems and Network Technologies

The degree program in Computer Systems and Network Technologies is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in computer services and network repair or as technicians in new product development and testing.

This curriculum provides a solid background in digital electronics and microprocessor technology. Theory is supported with hands-on lab experiences. Students will choose to concentrate in either Cisco Networking or Microsoft Certification Training. Technical electives allow students to expand their software knowledge or explore topics such as computer-assisted drafting (CAD). A cooperative placement may be available after completion of 30 hours of course work. Students who wish to enroll in this program should have completed two years of high school mathematics including algebra.

General Requirements  
Reading - All students will be required to demonstrate proficiency in reading and mathematics through testing prior to earning a degree or certificate.
English - Students who do not satisfactorily complete the writing exam must register for ENG091 and/or ENG100.
Mathematics - Mathematics placement is based on the ACT, SAT, ASSET or COMPASS placement test.
