Employment Outlook

  • Employment in this Building Trades cluster is at record levels.  Still the US Department of Labor has estimated a shortage of 30,000 to 40,000 skilled trades people for the past two years.  The average age of a residential tradesman is presently 49 years old.  With the maturing workforce it is projected that more and more skilled trades people will be needed in the near future.
