SAVE/Child Abuse Identification and Reporting Certification

  • SAVE - Schools Against Violence in Education 2 Hour Certification Course

    This 2 hour Teacher Certification Course provides the requirement in school violence prevention and intervention as put forth in the NYS SAVE legislation. On July 24, 2000, Governor Pataki signed the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) Act addressing issues relating to student discipline and school violence by amending a variety of laws, including those in education.  More information can be found here.  

    This training includes factors and issues contributing to violence in today's society, renorming our views and attitudes for prevention; the statutes, regulations, and policies relating to a safe nonviolent school climate; risk and preventive factors; warning signs associated with violence; and educational strategies in prevention.
