Workforce Development Programs and Classes

The next upcoming Nursing Assistant Class is September 2023 - see the attached flyer at the bottom of the page on the Nursing Assistant Section..

Programs and classes for adults fall into two major categories: day-time and evening. Classes usually meet four mornings or three/four evenings per week and are geared toward adults interested in upgrading skills to improve chances of promotion or increase job flexibility. 

Courses are offered in: Building Trades, Electricity, Welding, CNC Machining, HVAC, and Auto Mechanics,
[Rigging, Schematics and Blueprint reading as needed] and other Industry-specific areas are available.

 COVID Vaccination is recommended but no longer required for Health Related programs.

Enrollment:
Enrollment for adults 17 years of age or older; students currently enrolled in high school must present written authorization from a home school official and parent/guardian to register for an adult education program or class.  Adult Education classes do not provide credit for high school diplomas, or credit hours for completion of a college degree program.

Fall 2020 Skill Trade Programs and Classes begin in September 14, 2020.  However, there a variety of start dates for offerings.

Adult Education Facilities-Orleans Niagara BOCES Adult Workforce & Continuing Education courses and programs are offered at a few different locations across Niagara County.

Niagara Falls - All adult programs, courses and services are delivered at our 606 6th Street location on the corner of 6th St. and Walnut Avenue.  The Literacy Zone and other adult literacy support services are available there each day Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  Students can gather information on courses and programs as well as registration and application details.

Lockport – All adult programs, courses and services are delivered at our 50 Main Street location on the corner of Pine St. and Main St..  The Literacy Zone and other adult literacy support services are available there each day Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  Students can gather information on courses and programs as well as registration and application details.

Harrison Place – At 210 Walnut St. in Lockport, we also teach adult courses and programs at our new instructional labs located in spaces 65 & 69 on the 2nd Floor in the Harrison facility.  Review the schedule for courses or programs that are taught in this location.
