TCHR-844 Electricity/Electronics Instructor

Job Description: Anticipated initial assignment is to be at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center, Sanborn, NY.  The individual will provide electrical/electronics instruction to junior and senior high school students enrolled in BOCES programs. The individual will be responsible for planning, implementation, and facilitating all instructional requirements in the areas of: electricity/electronics theory, power tools, small hand tools, residential house wiring, NEC codes (National Electric Codes), industrial motor controls, ladder logic, wiring and programming of PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers), solar power, and bending of various types of conduit. The candidate must have a minimum of two years of construction and/or two years of electrical mechanical experience. Teaching of math, science, and English would also be required. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.
