SkillsUSA officers, from the Niagara and Orleans Career and Technical Education Center, recently attended the Fall Leadership Conference in Albany, New York. 

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.  Their mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. 

At the conference, students honed their leadership, communication and teamwork skills by collaborating with over 400 students from across the state.  They were guided through their workshops by New York State SkillsUSA officers as they worked on developing community service and public relations initiatives that they plan to implement in their local chapters. 

The members also toured the Capitol Building to help them understand civic engagement.
