Lewiston Building Inspector Talks with Building Maintenance and Management Class

The Niagara Career and Technical Education Center’s Building Maintenance and Management Program recently had in a guest speaker.

Tim Masters, the Building Inspector for the Town of Lewiston, spoke to the students in Nick DiFelice’s and Anthony Molinaro’s class and shared his career experience. He talked to the students about building, plumbing and HVAC codes and their importance, the inspection process and how to find different local, state and international codes.

“It was nice having the information come directly from an inspector’s mouth and his point of view,” said Mr. DiFelice. “Mr. Masters did a great job explaining where codes come from and the importance of following them.  The students were able to ask questions and get direct answers from someone who may potentially be inspecting their work in the future.  We would love to build on our relationship with him and invite him back each year to talk to the class.”
