The Niagara Academy (NA) Career Exploration students looked at local needs in the community and decided to reach out to the Niagara County SPCA as their service-learning project recipient.
Under the direction of their three career and technical education teachers, they designed and created “wooden” flowers to raffle off to their schoolmates. “They created a marketing campaign promoting the needs of the SPCA based upon their wish list,” explained Business teacher Therese Floss. “To gain an entry in the raffle, NA students brought in an item from the wish list.”
The students then delivered the items and took a tour of the SPCA with Officer Bob on May 15.
