EMS Class Takes Stock of Gear

Students in Sara McCartin’s EMS (Emergency Medical Services) program at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center recently spent a day going over their inventory.

The class was fortunate enough to have fire gear donated by several local fire companies including: Niagara Active, Adams Volunteer Fire Company and Wright’s Corners Fire Company.  Mrs. McCartin says she is very grateful for all the support his class is receiving from local first responders.  “My morning students are being taught Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations (BEFO) by some of our Niagara County Fire Instructors so they will have an opportunity to earn their New York State BEFO certification.  This will be addition to being able to become a certified EMT Basics at the end of the school year.”
