Automotive and Diesel Students Learn Tools of the Trade
As the students in the Automotive and Diesel programs, at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center, prepare to enter the workforce or college they need to start assembling their toolkits.
Recently Dave Rayner, from Lakeside Tools, stopped into the Orleans/Niagara BOCES center with a variety of tools to discuss with the students of how to start a tool set. After his talk, students were able to purchase tools from him. “There are many options for our students to get started on their toolkits,” says Diesel Technology teacher Wes Blidy. “But this was a great opportunity to talk to a professional about the essentials to get started in the industry and get an idea of costs. The students and teachers were very thankful for Mr. Rayner’s time and expertise.”
