Scott Bindemann Named New Niagara Career and Technical Education Center Principal

Orleans/Niagara BOCES has announced that Mr. Scott Bindemann has been named Principal at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center.  Mr. Bindemann served as Assistant Principal at the center from 2014-2016 until he took a position at Lancaster Central School District.  “I am glad to be back.  I have always very much enjoyed career and technical education.  As a former teacher, it is really rewarding to see our students here succeed.  I know sometimes they don’t have the most positive experience in a traditional classroom and they come here and they become their best selves.  I love seeing them engaged and take what they are learning in their programs and become successful and leaders.  The real world application and problem solving gives them the skills to succeed in life and get them ready for graduation.”

Mr. Bindemann says being back at Orleans/Niagara BOCES is a good fit for him.  “I love the environment here.  The staff in this building are great.  They want to do what is best for kids and we are here five days a week right now and they are doing their best to work with the component districts’ schedules, our virtual learners and transportation issues.  They do not want to see anyone miss out on their learning.”  He says he is especially impressed with how they are navigating the challenges of 2020.  “It has been a real challenge for them to keep everyone on the same page and they are doing amazing.  My hope is that people will be patient, trust the process and help us navigate through the issues.”
