The Cosmetology classes of Pauline Carney, Erica Cook and Jill Fisher recently welcomed Frank Tsoukaris to talk to their students at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center.
Mr. Tsoukaris is a highly skilled and recognized New York master stylist, colorist and educator. He started his education at the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute New York. “I knew I always wanted to pursue a career in the beauty industry ever since I was young,” he told the students. “I never missed a day of school. As a student I was so inspired by my educators. I was excited about my future career so I never wanted to miss a thing.”
He eventually became a lead educator and coach at Aveda so that he could inspire students the same way that he had been. His career has also seen him attending New York Fashion Week where advanced color methods and cutting is recognized for his cutting edge styles. “Hair for me is a creative pursuit. I have been drawing and painting ever since I can remember and hair is another amazing outlet as an artist. As stylist, we get the opportunity to create living works of art. Being a stylist is a constant creative endeavor that can enhance confidence and empower clients to be the best version of themselves.”
Mr. Tosokaris is also a platform artist of the Pretty in a Minute team and shared that knowledge, professionalism with demonstrations with hot tools and techniques with the career and technical education students. “We loved having Frank visit with us,” says Ms. Carney. “He was truly an inspiration to our students.”
