Niagara Academy Students Start Break with Egg Trot/Bunny Hop
Staff and students at the Niagara Academy started their spring break with an Egg Trot/Bunny Hop around the Orleans/Niagara BOCES’ building in Sanborn.
The Student Council sponsored the event on Thursday, April 1st as a COVID friendly building-wide event to build community and celebrate their successes for the year. “Students, staff and families are very appreciative that we stayed open to in-person instruction during these challenging times,” says Assistant Principal Michelle Kulbago.
Student Shamar Tyson, a senior from Niagara Wheatfield, took first place in the race. “He was so proud of himself. He also won this year’s Turkey Trot,” says Mrs. Kulbago. Mrs. Kulbago and the school’s Principal, Amanda Bennett say they are both very proud of him and all he has accomplished in the race and his progress at school.
