The Commissioner's regulations require all personnel assuming coaching responsibilities to have certification.  This service (which is approved by the NYSED Bureau of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation) offers the following courses necessary for certification: 

• Health Science Applied to Coaching

• Philosophy, Principles, & Organization of Athletics

• Theory and Techniques of Coaching

This service tracks all personnel entering the certification process and awards a certificate upon completion of the courses. A First Aid course designed for coaches is also offered. 

All workshops are held at Orleans/Niagara BOCES Conference Center (bldg. on the left).
