Congratulations to Conservation student Adam Yanicki from Royalton-Hartland! Adam earned first place in the entire nation in the Environmental and Natural Resources at the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis - the largest youth leadership and career competition in the country with over 70,000 students from all 50 states in attendance.
His Conservation teacher Jay Kaplewicz says he is so proud of Adam, as are all of us here at Orleans/Niagara BOCES.
Adam competed against students from all across the United States. The FFA events are not simple contests, they require a deep understanding of science, business, environmental systems and public speaking. Students complete written exams, solve real-world problems, and present professional-level projects judged by industry leaders. Winning at this level takes years of preparation, countless hours of practice and an extraordinary amount of teamwork and leadership. Way to go Adam and congratulations to all the Royalton-Hartland CSD students who competed and placed!
