Army National Guard recruiters watches students learn to tourniquet

Thank you to New York Army National Guard Recruiters Sergeant Louis Chraston and Sergeant Brandon Zimmer for coming in and training with our Security and Law Enforcement students at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center.

Teacher Dudley Gilbert says he is appreciative of the time they spent on the STOP THE BLEED training.  He says that it was very helpful to his classes, not only as citizens, but as they move forward with careers in law enforcement and the military.

STOP THE BLEED is a national campaign to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional helps arrives.  It is a public/private partnership led by the Department of Defense and many other stakeholders.
