Three students at table with cards and hygiene products

They say that charity begins at home.  The juniors in Susan Staddon’s Graphic Communications program, at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center, put their talents to a worthy cause.  Over the last several months the students sold handmade greeting cards in the community and with their profit, purchased over 200 toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, hand sanitizer, shampoo and additional hygiene products.

The students then manned a table in the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center’s Commons area and as they welcomed their fellow students, told them to help themselves to anything they needed.  The students are planning on continuing their season of giving and will save money to purchase gloves, warm hats and socks for anyone in need.  “I just love these gals!” says Mrs. Staddon.
