Students in Jared Karas’ Personal Training class were paid a visit Monday by Sal Capaccio, Buffalo Bills sideline reporter and on-air personality for WGR.
Sal spoke to the students at Niagara Career and Technical Education Center in Sanborn about his background and career journey that has taken him from Syracuse University, to working as an educator in Florida and ultimately to being on an NFL sideline every Sunday throughout football season.
Students also had the opportunity to talk with Sal and ask him questions from anything about career advice to what players the Bills should target in the upcoming NFL Draft!
Similar to how students in the Personal Training program can use the knowledge they learn in the classroom to prepare and propel them to a variety of career paths, Sal emphasized the importance of flexibility, passion and hard work as the most important keys to a successful and fulfilling career
“It does not matter what you want to do now and thinking that it is or isn’t going to work. What matters is how passionate you are about it, how you get there, and how much you're willing to sacrifice for it,” he told the students.
Special thanks to Sal for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit NCTEC and speak with our students!
