Two students stand with Dunn Tire Reps

Recently Work-Based Learning Coordinator Lori Graves held an Auto Career Fair at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center. She says it was a tremendous success and that the Auto Technology, Diesel Technology/Heavy Equipment and Auto Body students had a great time exploring careers. They also spoke to industry representatives about their companies' opportunities for paid internships, shadowing experiences and potential employment upon graduation. "Some of the companies were hiring and students were able to fill out applications to take or take them home and submit them later," she says.

A very special thank you to the Niagara Frontier Auto Dealers Association (NFADA) for sponsoring the event. The NFADA is committed to providing automobile career awareness to Western New York high school students, their parents, and educators. "Their Youth Development Department works diligently throughout the year representing the automotive industry at middle and high school awareness events," says Graves. "We are so grateful to them for this opportunity."
